Description
Caustic soda (NaOH), also known as sodium hydroxide is a strong, clear to hazy, liquid base. Sodium hydroxide is produced (along with chlorine and hydrogen) via the diaphragm or newer membrane electrolytic process, yielding a high purity caustic soda solution.
Application
Caustic soda is used in many industries as a strong chemical base in the manufacture of pulp and paper, alumina, refineries, textiles, water treatment, chemical intermediates, soaps and detergents. Low chlorate caustic soda is sometimes used in manufacturing infant formulas and geriatric drinks.
Product Grades
